About Hopi Ear Candling
Hopi ear candling is a traditional complementary therapy. You lie on your side while a hollow candle is placed in the outer ear and lit, and the treatment is generally experienced as warm, gentle and extremely relaxing.
It is offered as a relaxation therapy rather than as a clinical treatment. If your ears are blocked with wax and you want that dealt with, microsuction is the treatment for that, and Daisy offers it at £45.
At forty minutes for £10 it is the best value slot of time on the menu.
What happens at your appointment
- You lie comfortably on your side.
- The candle is positioned in the outer ear and lit, and stays under supervision throughout.
- It is removed and extinguished, then the second ear is done the same way.
- A gentle massage around the ear and face finishes the treatment.

Worth knowing
For blocked ears and hearing problems, microsuction is the appropriate treatment rather than this one. Hopi candling is offered here as relaxation.

Before your appointment
- Arrive with clean skin where possible.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injectable treatments.
- Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen for 24–48 hours beforehand unless prescribed by your GP.
- Stay well hydrated.
- Let us know about any medical conditions, medications or recent procedures.
- Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may need to be rescheduled.

Who is not suitable for treatment
Some treatments may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area.
- Have certain medical conditions.
- Are taking medication that may affect healing or increase bleeding.
- Have recently had surgery in the treatment area.
- Have severe allergies to treatment ingredients.
