About Teeth Gems
A tooth gem is a small crystal bonded to the front surface of a tooth with the same kind of adhesive an orthodontist uses for a brace bracket. Nothing is drilled and the tooth itself is not altered, which is what separates it from anything permanent.
It is a fifteen minute appointment. Most people have one fitted to an upper canine or the tooth beside it, but it is your choice on the day.
What happens at your appointment
- You choose which tooth the gem sits on.
- The surface of that tooth is cleaned and prepared so the adhesive has something to hold to.
- The gem is positioned and set with a curing light.
- You can eat and drink as normal straight afterwards.

- We block out 20 minutes for your appointment
- Cancel with more than 48 hours notice and your deposit carries over to your next booking
- Cash and bank transfer accepted for the balance on the day
Worth knowing
If you are having your teeth whitened anyway, have the gem fitted in the same appointment. It drops from £20 to £10 and the whole thing becomes one eighty minute visit.

Before your appointment
- Arrive with clean skin where possible.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injectable treatments.
- Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen for 24–48 hours beforehand unless prescribed by your GP.
- Stay well hydrated.
- Let us know about any medical conditions, medications or recent procedures.
- Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may need to be rescheduled.

Who is not suitable for treatment
Some treatments may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area.
- Have certain medical conditions.
- Are taking medication that may affect healing or increase bleeding.
- Have recently had surgery in the treatment area.
- Have severe allergies to treatment ingredients.
