About Micro-Needling
Micro-needling creates a controlled pattern of tiny punctures in the skin. Each one is a minor, deliberate injury, and the skin's response to it is to produce collagen and elastin to repair the area. That repair response is the treatment; the needles themselves are only the trigger.
This is why it reaches things surface exfoliation cannot. Indented scarring, enlarged pores, crepey texture and loss of firmness are all structural, and they need the skin to rebuild rather than simply to shed.
Results build over weeks rather than appearing immediately, because collagen takes that long to form. It is normally taken as a course, and we rebook at six weeks to let each round finish before the next begins.
What happens at your appointment
- Your skin is cleansed and prepared.
- The device is passed over the face section by section at a depth chosen for the area.
- A serum is worked in while the channels are open.
- Soothing and protective products are applied to finish.

Before your appointment
- Arrive with clean skin where possible.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injectable treatments.
- Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen for 24–48 hours beforehand unless prescribed by your GP.
- Stay well hydrated.
- Let us know about any medical conditions, medications or recent procedures.
- Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may need to be rescheduled.
Aftercare
For the first 24–48 hours:
- Avoid makeup if possible.
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Wear SPF daily.
- Do not use retinol, acids or exfoliants for 5–7 days.
- Avoid swimming, saunas and intense exercise for 24 hours.
Who is not suitable for treatment
Some treatments may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area.
- Have certain medical conditions.
- Are taking medication that may affect healing or increase bleeding.
- Have recently had surgery in the treatment area.
- Have severe allergies to treatment ingredients.

Does micro-needling hurt?
Ask Daisy about numbing before you book, as it depends on the depth being used for your treatment. Most people find it very manageable.
