About Facial Waxing
Facial waxing removes hair from the root rather than cutting it at the surface, which is why it stays away for weeks rather than days and grows back softer rather than stubbly.
The upper lip and chin are the two areas most people want dealt with, and both are £5. It is a fifteen minute appointment and by far the most common thing added onto another booking.
What happens at your appointment
- The area is cleansed and prepared.
- Wax is applied in the direction of hair growth.
- It is removed against the growth, taking the hair from the root.
- The skin is soothed and any strays tidied.

Facial waxing is a natural addition to a brow wax, which is also £5, or to any facial appointment.

Before your appointment
- Arrive with clean skin where possible.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injectable treatments.
- Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen for 24–48 hours beforehand unless prescribed by your GP.
- Stay well hydrated.
- Let us know about any medical conditions, medications or recent procedures.
- Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may need to be rescheduled.
Patch tests are not carried out. If you have ever reacted to a tint, a wax or a skincare product, please tell us before booking.

Daisy will talk you through aftercare for this treatment before you leave, and you are welcome to ask beforehand if you would like to know what is involved first.
Who is not suitable for treatment
Some treatments may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area.
- Have certain medical conditions.
- Are taking medication that may affect healing or increase bleeding.
- Have recently had surgery in the treatment area.
- Have severe allergies to treatment ingredients.

How much is a lip wax in Wirral?

How long does facial waxing last?
Around four weeks, because the hair is removed from the root and has to regrow completely. We send a reminder when you are due.
Does it hurt?
There is a sharp moment as the strip comes away and then it is over. The lip is the more sensitive of the two areas and takes seconds.
Will the hair grow back thicker?
No. Waxing removes hair from the root and repeated waxing tends to make regrowth finer and sparser over time, which is the opposite of shaving.
Do I pay when I book?
The £5 treatments are paid in full at booking rather than taking a deposit, so there is nothing to pay on the day.
