The treatment
About Lumi Eyes
The skin under the eye is the thinnest on the face, which is why tiredness shows there first and why general facial treatments do so little for it. These are injectable treatments formulated for that area, working on the quality of the skin itself rather than filling underneath it.
Two options are available. Illuma Eye at £70 brightens, hydrates and rejuvenates the area. Vitaran at £90 is a polynucleotide treatment that targets dark circles, hollows and fine lines, and works by improving the skin's own regeneration over the weeks after treatment.
Results build gradually rather than appearing on the day, and hold for around six months.
What happens at your appointment
- A consultation covers your medical history and what is bothering you about the area.
- The under-eye area is cleaned and marked.
- A series of very small injections is placed across the area with a fine needle.
- Aftercare is explained. Small bumps or slight bruising in the first day or two are usual.

Worth knowing
These are skin quality treatments rather than fillers. Nothing is being used to fill a hollow, so if that is what you are after, say so at consultation and Daisy will tell you straight whether this is the right treatment.

Before your appointment
- Arrive with clean skin where possible.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injectable treatments.
- Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen for 24–48 hours beforehand unless prescribed by your GP.
- Stay well hydrated.
- Let us know about any medical conditions, medications or recent procedures.
- Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may need to be rescheduled.

Daisy will talk you through aftercare for this treatment before you leave, and you are welcome to ask beforehand if you would like to know what is involved first.
Who is not suitable for treatment
Some treatments may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area.
- Have certain medical conditions.
- Are taking medication that may affect healing or increase bleeding.
- Have recently had surgery in the treatment area.
- Have severe allergies to treatment ingredients.

Is this the same as filler?
No. These treatments work on the quality and regeneration of the skin itself rather than filling volume underneath it.
How long does it last?
Around six months, which is the interval we rebook at.
Will it get rid of my dark circles completely?
It depends what is causing them. Pigmentation, thin skin and hollowing all look similar but respond differently. Daisy will tell you at consultation what is realistic for your eyes.
How long does the appointment take?
Thirty minutes, with a consultation beforehand.
