About Fat Dissolving Injections
Fat dissolving injections are placed directly into a pocket of fat to break down the fat cells there, which the body then clears away over the following weeks. It is a targeted treatment for specific small areas rather than anything to do with overall weight.
The chin is the most commonly treated area, followed by the jowls and the bra line. Price depends on the size of the area rather than the number of injections.
Results build over weeks, not days, and a course is usual rather than a single treatment. We rebook at eight weeks so each round has fully taken effect before the next.
What happens at your appointment
- A consultation covers your medical history and whether the treatment suits what you want to change.
- The area is marked out and cleaned.
- The solution is injected across the area in a grid.
- Aftercare is explained before you leave. Swelling in the days afterwards is part of how it works.

This is not a weight loss treatment. It works on small, specific, stubborn areas, and Daisy will say so at consultation if it is not the right answer for what you want.

Before your appointment
- Arrive with clean skin where possible.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injectable treatments.
- Avoid taking aspirin or ibuprofen for 24–48 hours beforehand unless prescribed by your GP.
- Stay well hydrated.
- Let us know about any medical conditions, medications or recent procedures.
- Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may need to be rescheduled.
Aftercare
For the first 24–48 hours:
- Avoid strenuous exercise.
- Avoid alcohol.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Avoid saunas and hot tubs.
- Some swelling, tenderness and bruising are completely normal.

A full consultation is required to assess suitability, discuss your medical history, explain expected results and create a personalised treatment plan.
Who is not suitable for treatment
Some treatments may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area.
- Have certain medical conditions.
- Are taking medication that may affect healing or increase bleeding.
- Have recently had surgery in the treatment area.
- Have severe allergies to treatment ingredients.
