The treatment

About Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade held at an angle against the skin to shave away the layer of dead cells on the surface along with the fine vellus hair, the peach fuzz, that grows on almost everyone's face.

The immediate difference is texture. Foundation stops catching on the fuzz and sits flat, and serums and moisturisers actually reach living skin instead of soaking into a layer of dead cells.

The hair grows back exactly as it was. It is vellus hair, which is fine and soft by nature, and cutting it does not change what it grows back as.

What happens at your appointment

  1. Your skin is cleansed and dried thoroughly.
  2. The skin is held taut and the blade is drawn across it in short strokes, section by section.
  3. The debris is wiped away as she works.
  4. The skin is soothed and finished. The luxury version adds further nourishing steps at this stage.

FAQs

Dermaplaning,
your questions answered

Does dermaplaning make hair grow back thicker?

No. The hair removed is vellus hair, which is fine and soft by nature. Cutting it does not change the follicle or what grows back from it. It returns exactly as it was.

How much is dermaplaning in Wirral?

£20 at Laser Whites in Eastham for standard dermaplaning, or £30 for the luxury version with added skincare steps.

How often can I have dermaplaning?

Around every four weeks, which lets the skin complete a full cycle in between. We send a reminder when you are due.

Does it hurt?

No. It is a blade drawn across the surface of the skin rather than into it. Most people describe it as a light scraping sensation and nothing more.

What is the difference between dermaplaning and microdermabrasion?

Both exfoliate. Dermaplaning uses a blade and also removes facial hair; microdermabrasion buffs the surface and does not. Dermaplaning is £20, microdermabrasion is £30.

Reviews

What clients say

"I have been coming to Daisy for years now. I have an exceptional experience every time I visit. She has a wide range of services and I have tried and continue to have most of them. Her quality of products used is amazing. Better than most places I have been for anti wrinkle and facials. Her salon is always immaculately clean and tidy. Her infectious personality makes the experience even better. She's lovely and is always training on courses to make herself even better at what she does to offer more services and better products. I will NEVER go anywhere else. I travel over an hour to see her. Keep it up Daisy you're amazing."
